The Butler Philharmonic Chorus (BPO) is the official choral ensemble of the Butler Philharmonic Organization. This mixed ensemble of 70+ voices rehearses weekly at First United Methodist Church , 225 Ludlow St. in Hamilton. The chorus performs 5-6 times per year and is a staple at events like the Majesty of Christmas concert, American Masters, Ohio Mozart Festival, Open Door Pantry Benefit, and pops programs. It has presented sung choral-orchestral masterworks including Mozart’s Requiem, Orff’s Carmina Burana, and Verdi’s Requiem.

The BPO Chorus enjoys a reputation far beyond the Tri-State. Described by Shreveport Symphony conductor, Dennis Simons, as “fabulous, and highly professional in sound and work ethic”, the chorus is the pride of Butler County’s vocal arts community.  In March of 2018, members of the chorus appeared with the Dayton Philharmonic under Maestro Neal Gittleman in a performance of the Vaughan Williams, “A Sea Symphony”.

The Chorus has appeared in Carnegie Hall twice; once in 2005 under John Rutter, and again in June of 2018 under Maestro Stanbery.
